5% Glycolic Acid Serum, 15ml

$20

5% Glycolic AHA helps to exfoliate the dead skin cells which manifest fine lines, uneven pigmentation, age spots and enlarged pores. When the dead cells are removed, newer, fresher skin is revealed and the appearance of fine lines fade – resulting in clearer, more supple skin.  It helps encourage collagen production for a younger looking you.  Over time you will start to see a radiant and more even looking skin tone.

Our Glycolic Acid Serums come in 5% and 10% concentrations.  Our 10% Glycolic Acid serum has an unaltered pH of 3.5 - 4 and a concentration of 10%.  For a more gentle approach, you should always introduce yourself to a lower concentration.  Our 5% Glycolic Acid Serum is a good start.  It provides a more gentle exfoliation for beginners.  Use 10% concentration only for step up regimens. Always begin with 5% and slowly introduce yourself to a higher concentration.  Use of a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen is recommended while using glycolic acid products.  Do not use if redness persists.

Free of synthetic color additives, fragrance, and Parabens.  Dynamic active botanicals like Aloe Vera, Chamomile Extract, Calendula Extract, Aspen Bark Extract and Lactobacillus Ferment combined in a silky smooth serum that can be used both day and night.

Oil free, absorbs quickly without a heavy, greasy or sticky feel.

Begin using a pea-size amount once weekly. Gradually increase how often, but not how much; based on how your skin response. If any redness or irritation is noted the next day, you should skip that night’s application.

Apply your Glycolic acid serum to the entire face and neck. Wait three minutes and apply a small amount of moisturizer. You can use this by itself or great to use with our Time Release 2.5% Retinol Serum.  Use Retinol serum for two nights on, one night off, alternating with 5% or 10% Glycolic serum and a nourishing treatment serum.

Since retinol is pushing up skin cells to the surface at a faster rate, retinol can cause micro-peeling (invisible peeling) in most skin types, so it’s best to alternate with other serums. Because it takes two days for the cells to regenerate to the surface and cause the skin to get flaky, using Glycolic acid serum on the third day is perfect to remove the surface dead cells that appear. Also, retinol may work even better when used back on the skin on the forth and fifth day, because now it can penetrate deeper into the skin because of the acid exfoliation the night before. Then, a hydrating / replenishing serum is added to the mix once a week (on the sixth day) to give the skin a break, using barrier repair and nourishing ingredients to keep the skin calm and hydrated.  Repeat the cycle.

Your routine should look something like this:

Day 1: Time Release 2.5 Retinol Serum & 10% Vitamin C Serum

Day 2: Time Release 2.5 Retinol Serum & 10% Vitamin C Serum

Day 3: 5% or 10 Glycolic Acid Serum

Day 4: Time Release 2.5 Retinol Serum & 10 % Vitamin C Serum
